Accessories: Every Detail Matters

In the summer of last year I had the amazing opportunity to work with such a wonderful bride. Her dress needed some alterations and she wanted to add some accessories that made her feel so incredible on her wedding day.

She had been nervous and had some doubts about the dress before the alterations. When your body changes during and after pregnancy, it can be hard not to worry about how clothes look on you now compared to what that used to be. Let me tell you though, my biggest goal is to help you look and FEEL absolutely beautiful inside and out. After altering and adding a fabulous sash to her dress, as well as, making a hair piece to complete the ensemble. She was absolutely stunning! But see for yourself.

Dress Making Report: A Fall Inspired Wedding Shoot

At the end of August, I did an amazing collaboration with quite a few talented ladies. This Fall elopement shoot was incredible. We just got to the location just after a storm passed at 8am, it was a bit chilly that morning and very windy. But as we all arrived and got every thing set up, Models dressed and camera ready. It got warm, blue skies appeared and the sun created such great light peaking through the woods.

Claireville Conservation in Brampton, Ontario is like a dream. Especially for a photo shoot, we had several landscapes to choose. From rolling Hills to a rocky road and even into the woods, no wonder we all had such a fabulous day!

The couple were gorgeous and really so in love, which truly takes your breath away with such intimate moments. I was lucky to be apart of something so very special.

Creating this dress was really wonderful, from the first designs to the day of the shoot. It is romantic and flowing plus a little flirty underneath the beautiful veil like removable skirt. I love the way the wind carries and fills it up in some of the gorgeous pictures by Roxana Silva Photography.

I hope this inspires you and fills you with so much joy!

Dress Making Report: Stylized Wedding Shoot

A few months ago I created a dress for a rustic stylized wedding shoot. A great collaboration of local businesses coming together thanks to Michelle Liane, an amazing photographer that brought her vision alive with through local businesses. The shoot was fantastic, set in Caledon, ON, she used the elements of the earth, and with the help of the wind shot some beautifully breath taking pictures.

From the moment this dress was together, I fell in love! Every time I walked into my living room and saw it, this rush of excitement went through my veins. Start to finish this was a fun, whimsical piece to create. Thank you so much Michelle Liane Photography for including me in this fabulous experience.

I am so proud to have been apart of this and so excited that we were featured on The Bride Link blog.

The Met Gala - Red Carpet

There were quite  few outspoken pieces at the Met Gala, I am always amazed by the work that goes into such exquisite dresses. Some of my favourites were worn by some pretty amazing women, who wore them well. I did feel like some could have been passed on for this event but, I still appreciate all the time that goes into making pieces such as these.

Here are some that I chose to be my top choices, dresses for whom I would love to have wear my pieces. I love floral, elegance and imagination!

Vegas: Shops, fashion and more!

There are a plethora of shops to go to while in Vegas! Every hotel basically has it's own mall of High end to reasonably priced stores. This being my first time in Vegas I was in awe, they all are pretty much bright, bold and beautiful. This H&M was in Caesar's Palace and I love the cut out light fixtures on the wall, this store was massive!  Everywhere you look there is some sort of colourful, bright inspiration that can lead you to the next fabulous idea. From flower/garden displays to an entire window of sewing machines(in which I almost fainted I might add). Vegas is definitely the place to go to explore, party and get married. This beautiful chapel my Mom and I found at the Flamingo would blow you mind on how elegant it is. I feel if I were going to get married in Vegas it would absolutely be in the Garden Chapel at the Flamingo, not tacky but classy. Showing at the 'Fashion Show' mall was an amazing experience also, I won't get into details but I had to buy a whole new wardrobe, where else would be better but a mall called The Fashion Show. Awesome! Overall I would say fashion and shopping go hand in hand when visiting Vegas, you must do a little bit of everything.
